Privacy policy

This page explains what Kuwait Markets (kwt.markets) collects and why. In short: you can read the site without an account, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising trackers.

1. If you just visit

• Visit statistics. For each page view we save the page, the date, your country, device type, operating system and browser, and the site you came from. Your IP address is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form, so we can count unique visitors without keeping the address itself. These records are deleted after 180 days.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare's privacy-friendly analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
• Your settings. Your language and light/dark choice are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.

2. If you create an account

• Account details: your first and last name, email and password. Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes, never in readable form.
• Your watchlist and the time you were last active.
• Sign-in session: one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours. It is the only cookie the site itself sets.
• Security log: sign-ins, sign-ups, password resets and similar events, with the IP address and browser they came from. We use this to protect accounts and stop abuse.
• Messages you send through the Contact form, with your name and account email so we can reply.

3. How we use it

Only to run the site: to sign you in, save your watchlist, reply to your messages, send emails you asked for (such as a password reset), keep the site secure, and understand which pages are useful. We don't sell, rent or share your data for marketing.

4. Services we use

• Cloudflare hosts the site and its database and provides the analytics.
• Resend sends our emails, such as password resets.

These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside Kuwait.

5. Your choices

You can update your details on your account page, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing [email protected].

6. Changes

We'll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
